The Big Golf Race 2024
Campaign by PROSTATE CANCER UK (RCN 1005541 (England & Wales), SC039332 (Scotland))
There's something for everyone in The Big Golf Race. Choose from the Half Marathon (2 rounds, 36 holes, 13 miles in a day), the Marathon (4 rounds, 72 holes, 26 miles in a day) or even the Ultra Marathon (5.5 rounds, 100 holes, 35 miles in a day).

Story

Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That’s thousands of dads, brothers, partners, grandads, mates, sons and uncles. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

We’re taking on The Big Golf Race to help raise money and awareness of prostate cancer to keep men in the game for longer.

Your donation will help fund lifesaving research to find better tests to diagnose men sooner. Thank you for your support.

3 slightly overweight lads who already play too much golf and a bloke who spends more time in vanity parlours than most women, will attempt to play some reasonable golf over 4 rounds. The big day is the 21st of June

The players and their handicaps:

Max Birkinshaw - 3.4

James Morton - 4.9

Ross Hamilton - 5.4

Steve Callaghan - 7.3

If you sponsor us please leave a guess in the comments box to the total number of shots we will take as a cumlative group throughout the 4 rounds. THE CLOSEST GUESS WILL WIN A SLEEVE OF BALLS. In the event of a draw the lowest (closest) guess or the first person to guess the number will be the winner. So make sure you're guess is unique to be in with a chance!
