In case you don't know, The Boobettes are a group of incredible volunteers for CoppaFeel! who visit schools, work places, community groups and festivals to educate people about the importance of checking their boobs! Boobettes have all been affected by breast cancer in some way, either through a diagnosis, scare or preventative surgery. Using their own personal stories, they have decided to turn a rubbish time in their own lives into something positive, by having a valuable impact on other peoples health.

Laura Wetherall-Plane was a shining light of The Boobettes. Usually with her superstar husband Jon by her side, Laura completed treks in Peru and Iceland, ran so many half marathons with a giant boob strapped to her back we've lost count, she did endless Boobette talks and stalls, appeared in The Sun newspaper, wrote many articles, starred in awareness adverts, received a Pride of Plymouth award and was invited by the Queen to party in her garden - to name but a few things! And all in the name of norks, raising funds and awareness for CoppaFeel!. Despite it being too late for Laura, she was determined that no-one else should discover symptoms at a point where survival chances are much lower. She was a relentless boob force to be reckoned with and will be remembered always as a CoppaFeel! Star, and all round glittery inspiration.

Over the next few months, we will be completing various challenges and fundraising efforts in memory of our lovely Laura. We'll be updating this page with info, training and pics - so watch this space.

In the words of Boob and Foo Fighters Hero, Dave Grohl: "Laura...couldn't be here tonight, so let's dance this one for her".
