Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

St. Gemma’s Hospice is delighted that Richie Holehouse and the team at “The Dogwalker” have chosen to take part this year’s sponsored Dog Walk which will take place on the 21st February at Golden Acre Park. Richie and his team run a dog walking and dog boarding business and regularly walk a number of dogs in the Wetherby, Harrogate and York areas.

This Dog Walk will be one with a difference though as the team of four and their dogs will be pounding the park with over 100 other pooches all raising funds for the Moortown based Hospice.  There is a choice of one, three and six mile routes to suit all abilities and every dog receives a certificate and goody bag at the end of their walk.

The walk begins at 10am and entry to the walk is free for all human and canine participants.  For more information or to register please call Anne on 0113 218 5565 or visit our website www.st-gemma.co.uk

Anne Malia, St. Gemma’s fundraiser said, “We are delighted that the team at The Dogwalker have chosen to take part in the walk.  If there are other dog walkers out there who have been lacking a little motivation when it comes to the daily trot around the park, a good cause is probably just the thing to give you a kick start!  We’d love for you to join us too.”

St Gemma’s Hospice, based in Moortown, , provides specialist medical and nursing care for local people with life threatening illnesses, predominantly cancer, and support for their families too.  Care provided is free of charge to patients and their families so St Gemma's relies on donations and local fundraising initiatives in the community.
