Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our page. The Events, Roadshow and Hospitality Team are very excited to announce The Great Baking Marathon! We have been racking our brains to think of a fun way to support the wider community during this time. After a few virtual brainstorms, we finally settled on hosting a baking day since we couldn’t resist creating some deliciously tasty treats!

What exactly are you sponsoring I hear you ask…

A baking marathon! Members of the team have been invited to log on to a virtual meeting from their kitchens throughout the day on Friday 22 May. We’ll be baking alongside one another, with some help from our household/family members too! The baking will commence from 10am and run through until 4pm. We would love your support - buy a virtual slice and all baked goods will then be donated to local foods banks and neighbors by the end of the day.

Who will be baking...

Catherine Bush, Mandy York, Jordanna Virdee, Alex Blunden, Georgina Graves, Michaela Hamm, Richard Burnham, Maria Xi, Ruth Edwards and Ellen Lai.

Who will we be supporting...

The British Red Cross plays a vital role in emergency response, and the ongoing, ever-changing situation concerning the COVID-19 pandemic is no exception. In times of crisis, we’re here to help people. We’re local and we’re global and we’ve been doing this for 150 years. Our network of incredible staff and volunteers means we are uniquely placed to reach people in fearful, uncertain times. But it’s the generosity of our supporters that enables our work to happen quickly and efficiently. We rely on your support to keep us going.
