Fundraising for The Hannah Webb Sunshine Fund
Hannah was born 10 weeks premature weighing in at a tiny 2lb 13oz. We were told she may not survive the first 24hrs and we feared the worst. As soon as she was born, she was taken to intensive care where they struggled to stabilise her breathing. She needed to be transferred to Bristol Southmead and we had an agonising wait to find out if she had survived the journey with the NEST team. We received a call from the team to let us know she had arrived at Bristol and had been taken straight into NICU. Hannah was intubated and started to slowly respond to treatment. It would be another week before we were allowed to hold Hannah for the first time.
Hannah spent 1 month in intensive care and a further month in the Special Care Baby unit before coming home. Her progress has been amazing and she is a healthy, happy little girl who will turn 2 next month!
Hannah is our little miracle and we feel so fortunate our story has a happy ending. The staff at Swindon Hospital, Bristol Southmead,NEST and BLISS do a fantastic job and we are so grateful for all the help we received.
I am running in the Great North Run to raise money for Bliss, a charity for premature and sick babies. Anything we can raise will go towards helping babies and their families who are going through a similar situation as ourselves or who suffer the heartbreaking loss of a premature or sick baby.
Thank you for your support. We are very grateful for any donations you can make.
best wishes
