Helping Hands Charity Walk · 1 July 2022

Special Olympics is a global inclusion movement using sport, health and leadership programs to end discrimination of people with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics serves more than 6 million athletes in more than 190 countries delivering 32 Olympic-type sports at 100,000 events each year.

Story

We are excited to announce that this year on Friday 1st July we will be bringing back one of our favourite afternoons out from years gone by, the much-loved Charity Walk.

This year we will be taking on the challenge of walking from Hanger Lane to London Bridge, raising money for Special Olympics

The walk will take about 4 hours, taking us along the canal to Paddington, through Hyde Park, Green Park and St James’s Park, and finally along Southbank to London Bridge where we will finish with a celebratory drink at The Barrowboy & Banker.

We will be setting off from Hanger Lane at 1pm, so please agree that early finish with your line manager.

The sign-up donation is £10 per person, which includes a drink at The Barrowboy & Banker.

To sign-up please make your donation and contact Ellie Ward or Chloe Thorne letting us know you’d like to take part.

You can either sign up individually or as a group of up to 15 people. If you sign up individually or in small groups, you will be placed in a team.
