WaterAid is an international non-profit with one goal: to change the world through water. Along with decent toilets and good hygiene, a reliable supply of clean water is essential for health, dignity and a life full of opportunity.

Story

We are (or were!) three computational scientists based in London, UK.

Angelos is the leader of the ICE Group at University College London (https://www.ucl.ac.uk/catalytic-enviro-group/), where Gabriele and Phil also work (or worked, as the latter just got his PhD!).

Much of our research is focused on water (and ice!), so that we are especially aware of the efforts that have to be made to accomplish the ultimate goal: that of providing clean water to each and every person in the world.

It is a long way to go, but we believe that WaterAid (http://www.wateraid.org/uk) is doing a lot already - but we can do more!

As we realised the three of us together can actually swim (Phil), bike (Gabriele) and run (Angelos), what better occasion than a terrific event such as The Hever Castle Triathlon (http://www.castletriathlonseries.co.uk/the-series/hever-castle/) in order to contribute ourselves?

Thus here we are, training as hard as we can possibly can (word on the streets is, somebody even hired a proper coach!) and asking you all to spare a dime for a cause very much worth fighting for!
