Manchester Maternal and Fetal Health Research Centre team are holding a Rainbow Race to raise funds for Tommy's

Story

On Sunday 18th September myself, Chris, Alex and Harrison are taking part in the Tommy's Rainbow Race in Manchester. This is a little challenge for a charity with a big place in our hearts. We will be joining many other families who have been touched by Tommy's and running 1km alongside each other with babies, toddlers and children in tow! We hope to raise awareness of the charity as well as much needed funds.

Tommy's is such a special charity to us for a number of reasons. Our beautiful son Ollie passed away 2 years ago on 12th September 2020 at just 6 days old due to complications during birth. We have been left devastated and our hearts will remain broken forever.

Tommy's pioneering research aims to prevent pregnancy complications and baby loss as well as providing much needed support for families before, during and after pregnancy. The aim is to make pregnancy safer for everyone and save babies lives.

The Tommy's Clinic at St Mary's Women's hospital in Manchester supported us following the loss of Ollie and every step of the way with our pregnancy with Harrison. The team are incredible and the support they provide through the rainbow clinic is absolutely vital to families like ours. We are so greatful to Tommy's for the support we've had, many of our friends have had and for all the families they will continue to support in the future.

Please help us to help families avoid the excruciating pain of losing a baby. We are eternally greatful,

Love The Lindsay's x x x
