Story

The Big Five - Chris Stainton, Dominic Collier, Marcus Luke, Andy Baggus & Steve Rutherford - are committed to losing 10 stone by 1st April 2019. That's 64 bags of sugar for those who prefer something more visual.

Those of you who know us well will doubtless feel that this is long overdue, but we are doing this for more than mere vanity. We are motivated by much higher ideals.

In recent years we've supported the SOS Children's Village in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The village does exceptional work trying to right the imbalances created by a roll of the dice; supporting safe, nurturing environments for children to learn, grow and make their way in the world.

In raising £5,000 we'll be able to provide 100 sets of school uniform, sports kit and other materials for the children. Without doing this, quite simply, they will not receive it.

Our Chief Invigilator & Motivator is our colleague, Liz Shay. She will be posting regular updates here to let you know our progress in weight loss and fundraising terms.

Thanks in advance for your support.
