MWL NHS Charity supports Whiston, Southport, St Helens, Ormskirk, and Newton hospitals. We raise funds to enhance patient care by investing in better facilities, advanced equipment, and innovative projects across Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Story

In Jan 2012, The Moustacios were formed, with founder Member Aidi Bennett asking a group of lads, some forces some civillian to get together and raise money for good causes.

It was decieded due to all members being god like fitness demons that only one challenge would be worthy, the challenge of 'tough Mudder' a 12 mile assault course with some of the most insane obstacles ever seen, including the 'Ball Shrinker' and 'Nettles to Nipples.'

The first event was in May 2012 and all Moustachios, armed with fully grown 'real' moustaches completed the course and raised over £1000 for Macmillan Cancer support.

After some awful news for one of the team members it was decieded that the moustachios would rise to the challenge again and this time raise as much as possible for 'The Heart Foundation' during the Tough Mudder North West event 2012. This time with new members - the Moustachettes!!

As is now becoming a tradition the moustachios are gearing up for their third outing, yet again raising money for a very worthwhile cause. We are asking poeple to donate to the charity 'Born to Soon' this charity raises money for children who are born prematurley and without specialist care and equipment would not have a chance of life. You will see from the sight a few friends last year climbed Mount kilimanjaro and raised nearly £30,000 for a transportation pod which enables the babies to be taken from one place to an other without the risk of hyperthermia, which is unfortunatley how the founding members son, Alfie Flynn Mullen lost his battle.

Please give genourously to this worthwhile cause.
