Developing Technologies designs, develops and delivers appropriate and sustainable technology solutions that have a lasting impact on communities in the developing world, alleviating the effects of chronic poverty by delivering economically and socially viable technology to local communities.

Story

On Sunday 4th December 2011 Chris, Rozzy and Keith will be running the London Santa Run - i.e. 5km around Greenwich Park in a Santa suit. Why? Because an excellent little charity called Developing Technologies needs funding for next year in order to continue the work of sustainable poverty relief using designs based on materials available and sourced locally so that the technology is repairable and replicable elsewhere.Developing Technologies specialises in the design and development of sustainable, appropriate technologies which are suitable for the specific needs of developing communities. It partners with engineering departments at Imperial College and City University to offer students the opportunity to build their skills and expertise in these fields - with the goal of taking these skills on into their professional lives. Take a look at www.developingtechnologies.org to find out more.
