Story

13-15 July 2012. 100km (62.5 miles) - 30 hours. Trailwalker UK 2012.

Trailwalker began in Hong Kong in 1981 as a Military Training exercise for the elite Queens Gurkha Signals Regiment. The event is now open to the public, and is becoming a global phenomenon with over 16 trails in 13 countries raising more than £60 million for charity.

The Thales Team will be undertaking the gruelling 100km trek across the South Downs. Two 4-man teams (Walking and Running) & two support teams will be aiming to complete the course as quickly as possible.

Please show your support by helping to raise as much as possible to help Oxfam, a vibrant, global movement, dedicated to fighting poverty worldwide (www.oxfam.org.uk) and The Gurkha Welfare Trust, which is helping care for ex-Gurkhas’ and their families and helping repay a debt of honour owed to the brave Gurkha soldiers who have fought for our freedom for over 200 years (www.gwt.org.uk).

We will welcome as much support on the day as possible, so please feel free to come along and offer a few words of encouragement to the 2 teams.

Thank you very much for your help

THE THALES TEAM.
