Transformation Trust Kilimanjaro Trek 2013 · 26 August 2013 to 5 September 2013 ·

Our vision is to spark ambition and unlock opportunity so that every young person can succeed and thrive as part of a fairer society. Our purpose is to help underserved young people discover their talents, think bigger about their future, and build the confidence and valuable skills.

Story

The Transformation Trust is all about giving young people access to opportunities that they wouldn't otherwise be able to afford. We want young people to stretch themselves and in doing so find new talents and new confidence in themselves.

Every year we work with 800 schools, providing inspiring and enriching opportunities, from drama and dance through to enterprise and engineering (www.transformationtrust.org.uk).

This summer we are taking three schools on a trip of a lifetime to scale new heights - to Mount Kilimanjaro to be precise. City of Leeds School from Leeds, Copland Community School from London and Manchester Health Academy from Manchester will all go through rigorous training programmes, including a practice climb in the Peak District, before taking on the ultimate challenge of 5,895m up Kilimanjaro.

We would love your support in helping us cover the cost of the trip; flights, equipment and the trek itself.

Your help is hugely appreciated.

The Transformation Trek Team.
