Story
When a good friend or family member tells you they have been diagnosed with cancer, you feel helpless. All you can do is support that person and those who can actually help.
When Jenny Knass told us she had been diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma and that she was having to hang up her running shoes during her treatment, her friends and family decided to dust theirs off (or, for some, buy a pair!) and enter races or commit to other challenges. This is not only to amuse Jenny but also to raise money for her chosen cause, The Lymphoma Research Fund, under Professor Radford at The Christie, the hospital who treated and who are supporting Jen's recovery. Funds raised will go towards funding clinical trials which are vital in the development of the most effective treatments for Lymphoma.
We are therefore asking for support in our plight. The number of 'Trotters' committed to this cause is growing. Some have completed their challenges, some are just cranking up the training and some are suffering silently and not so silently in full on training regimes with their races looming. Challenges range from 5k runs to marathons, to challenging peak hikes and 8 day cross-country walks. If you want to get involved in any way, please choose a challenge and let us know! The more the merrier!
