Story
General fundraising in charities across the UK has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
The Ayrshire Hospice is no exception and in these extraordinary circumstances, the amazing front line staff are still providing exceptional care to patients and their families at a time when they need it most. The excellent work of Ayrshire Hospice is filled with moments that make people smile at a time that's difficult for everyone.
To help the hospice, Ron Snr and Jnr will be performing 26 songs in 26 minutes to help raise vital funds for Ayrshire Hospice as part of the national 2.6 Challenge. We will perform songs from a variety of genres including Scottish/Burns, musical theatre, Disney, wartime and reflective pieces. We will record the challenge and post on our personal Facebook pages on Sunday 26 April so that you can sing along and have fun with us!
If you can, any donation will be gratefully received by everyone at Ayrshire Hospice. Thank you in advance!
