The Wildlife Trust for Beds, Cambs and Northants works to make our three counties wilder. We manage over 100 nature reserves, monitor habitats and species, work with others to help them manage their land for wildlife, and encourage and inspire people to love and take action for nature close to home.

Story

The Wildlife Trust launched an appeal on 26 May 2011 to raise £39,000 to buy and restore new land adjacent to our existing nature reserve at Houghton Meadows.

Thanks to an unprecedented and overwhelming response - including two substantial donations - we are delighted to announce that we have reached the appeal target!

If you didn't get chance to donate, don't worry. The Trust will be very happy to continue to receive donations, which will support other vital work for wildlife in the Ouse Valley and across Huntingdonshire. For example, it could help us care for other important nature reserves in the area such as Hemingford Grey and Brampton Wood. Or it could give us a head start in raising funds for a possible new nature reserve at Godmanchester Gravel Pits, which we hope will be a reality in the near future.

Please donate today or if you are not already a member please consider joining us to help protect wildlife in your local area. To find out more, please visit www.wildlifebcnp.org or call (01954) 713543. Your support is vital and means a lot to us.
