Story
We have been inspired by 11-year-old Max Woosey, who has been camping in a tent in his garden for a whole year since the first of our 3 lockdowns!
We are raising money for a charity that means a lot to our family. Our mum’s cousin and God daughter Phoebe sadly passed away in January 2019 following a year-long battle with retroperitoneal sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. She was just 24 years old.
We’ll be joining ‘Max’s Big Camp Out’ on Saturday 27th March 2021 and will camp out for the rest of the week to earn our Easter eggs on Easter Sunday!
It remains ‘under negotiation’ with mum (and maybe subject to the weather!) whether we sleep under the stars on the trampoline (our first choice!), beg, borrow or steal a new tent (ours fell apart due to overuse in last years lock down!), build an indoors den or indeed hijack Joel’s new playhouse...probably a combination of all 4!
