We’re ZSL, an international conservation charity, and our vision is a world where wildlife thrives. We’re working every day to achieve this, through our science, our field conservation around the world and engaging millions of people through our two Zoos, ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo.

Story

Tiger SOS is a campaign to raise money for ZSL’s tiger conservation work in Sumatra as well as developing a state-of-the art Tiger Conservation Headquarters right in the heart of central London at ZSL London Zoo.

The tiger is desperately endangered throughout its range and its future is in our hands. Over the last decade the wild tiger population has been decimated, with a massive 95% drop in numbers.

The new exhibit will create a magical and challenging experience that that is all about close-up animal encounters in an authentic environment. It will educate millions of visitors with compelling stories about the Sumatran tiger. It will explain the harsh reality of how close it is to extinction, and how ZSL and our Zoo visitors can ensure that this majestic species is conserved for future generations.

Our work overseas encompasses anti-poaching initiatives, tiger monitoring to reduce human-tiger conflict and habitat management.

We need your help to raise the remaining £1million to make this project a reality.
