Story

The Alverton will be raising funds for Cornwall Community Foundation.

We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Cornwall Community Foundation. Together, we'll be strengthening our local community and bringing people together with this incredible charity.

Cornwall Community Foundation support local, grassroot organisations and aid them financially by raising funds from individuals and businesses both inside and outside of Cornwall. CCF has awarded and actively monitored over £13 million of grants to more than 6,000 community projects since 2003. In 2021, they awarded more than £2.2 million to support Cornish communities. CCF believe in a positive Cornish life for all, free from poverty and social isolation. Working together, our aim is to change people’s lives for the better by helping local communities.

The Alverton, and our sister hotel, The Greenbank, are delighted to partner with CCF. We have exciting fundraising events in the pipeline, including a repeat of our successful Truro to Falmouth walk. As well as this, we’ll be setting up events at our hotel in Falmouth and will be encouraging donations through various means around the hotel. We will then look forward to dispersing our raised funds to various Cornish communities and organisations that we are passionate about supporting.

Our Managing Director Ben Young said; “Our hotels sit in the very heart of their community, yet within a stone’s throw of each are defined areas of poverty.

These communities need the support of their local business in the best of times; let alone the challenging days we find ourselves in. Please support us to support our local community groups and charities to make a real change for the better".
