Our precious baby girl Thea Grace Beaty Gibson was born at the Royal Victoria Infirmary Newcastle on the 18th July 2019. Sadly, our hearts were broken when complications with her lungs meant she only had a short time to live and she passed away on the 19th July.

The maternity and special care teams who looked after us at the RVI do an amazing job and took special care of Thea and our family. A lot of the support and resources offered to us are funded by the Tiny lives trust; a registered charity that helps to care for premature and sick newborn babies, aswell as their mothers and families in the special care baby unit of the Newcastle neonatal service based at the RVI.

To provide the highest quality of care, facilities, staff, and equipment on an on going basis, the Tiny lives trust need to raise at least £350,000 every year and our wish is to raise funds in Theas memory to contribute to the tiny lives trust.

To do this, in May 2021 & August 2021, a team of cyclists; some seasoned, and some who have not been on a bike for years, will take on an Coast to Coast to Coast cycle challenge from Whitehaven to Tynemouth and back, This is no easy undertaking and a commitment to train aswell as to do the challenge itself will be required from each member of the Thea's Thousand team, but your support will push the team onto strive for more and keep going.

We would love to raise as much money for tiny lives as possible in memory of our baby girl and we hope you will donate as much as you can spare to our just giving page or our individual sponsor forms.
