Thanks for taking the time to visit the Atkinson's just giving page. We had hoped that our 12 in 12 challenge would be nearly complete, having initially set out to undertake it in 2020, however a global pandemic put a temporary halt to it!

We have just reached the two year anniversary of Adam’s Young Onset Parkinson’s diagnosis. 

As a family we’re committed to fighting this awful disease together head on, but the reality is at present there is no cure. We’re hoping that through our events this year we can raise a decent amount of cash to support  the vital research that will bring about the day when Parkinson’s can finally be beaten.

12 in 12 is us, as a family, tackling 12 events in 2021 ranging from walks across London, to tackling the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, taking on the mighty Great Glen in Inverness  and a 30k hike across the Lake District to name a few.

Whilst Parkinson's UK are looking to fund vital research that will ultimately lead to a cure, they also provide practical and emotional support to families like ours, something we’ve really valued after Adam’s diagnosis at 35 years old.
