Richard died at the Royal Marsden on the 25th February 2020 from CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia). We are so grateful to the wonderful staff who look after patients at the Marsden as well as for the research they conduct into cancer treatment. Richard has left a big hole in our hearts and lives and we are committed to continue to support The Royal Marsden as we know he couldn't have had a better medical team, both in consulting and nursing. A group of us were due to take part in the Banham March last May, to raise money for the building of the Oak Cancer Centre, their new research facility. Due to Covid restrictions this was cancelled and this year they have decided to change the format and have called it 'The Banham March at Home', asking people to walk 5 or 15 miles wherever they are. Alice, Charlotte, Henry and I have decided to continue with our plans and have designed a route which is particularly relevant to Richard. So, on Sunday 23rd May 2021 we will walk 12-15 miles from London Bridge to Greenwich, via Southwark, Angel, Hackney and Surrey Quays. We are so grateful to everyone who plans to join us and to all of you who supported us last year. We would, of course, welcome more walkers (our team numbers about 20 so far), and more donations to the Marsden via this page. We hope to see you there! Love Sallixx
