Story

Story

Diverse Abilities is the only charity that supports children and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities in Dorset. We cannot change people’s disabilities but, with your help, we can make their lives fun and fulfilled, giving them a future they truly deserve.

Why have you made a JustGiving page?

Staff at The Beehive, are teaming together to fundraise for our day centre.  We are called the ‘ runner bees ‘ staff have come together and started a running group. Speaking on behalf of myself I can barley run for a bus, let alone 5K.. But.. that didn’t stop me!

Diverse Abilities is a charity very close to my heart, myself and my work colleagues want to change the lives of the people we support every day.

Any donations will help us to continue supporting these amazing people.

When is the event?

Dorset neon run 23rd April 2022.

What is The Beehive?

The Beehive, is a activity and therapy centre, that provides one to one support for people with disabilities.

It is a place where people can make new friends, acquire new skills, enjoy a wide range of activities  and experiences.

Thank you so much for all your help and support.

We appreciate any donations massively.

Please come along and support us on the night!!

The Dorset Neon Run is a 5k neon night run open to anyone over the age of 12 in the iconic Poole Park with the aim of having fun and raising vital funds for Diverse Abilities, Dorset's disability charity. This event is organised by Diverse Abilities, a disability charity that supports thousands of families across Dorset. The charity provides vital care to children and adults living with physical and learning disabilities whilst also providing support services for them and their families to help them cope with the daily challenges that they may face. All donations raised from this event will benefit Diverse Abilities. For more information about the charity, please visit www.diverseabilities.org.uk/what-we-do
