Without access to National Lottery funding and with only limited support from Government, we rely upon the generosity and goodwill of the people and businesses of Essex and Hertfordshire to remain operational and keep saving lives. we can’t fly without you!

Story

My name is James Jenkins, I am 17 years old and I go to Saffron Walden County High School. I am in the Sixth Form, where I am studying A-Levels in Maths, Economics and French. I hope to go to university next year to study French and Business Management. I enjoy many sports, particularly football, golf and of course swimming. I am captain of Saffron Seals Swimming Club and occasionally take part in competitions. I would like to swim at least 5 miles and will be raising money for the Essex Air Ambulance. The charity receives no Government funding and relies solely on donations from the public. Considering it costs £150,000 a month to keep the helicopter flying, and the service they provide is life-saving, it is definitely a worthy cause.
