RBC Ride for the Kids 2020 · 25 September 2020 ·
On an unforgettable day 10 years ago in Sheffield we tied the knot and began our journey together as Mr and Mrs Birley. So how are we going to celebrate this momentous occasion? By cycling 57 miles for charity of course!
A decade later to the day, on the 25th September this year, we're setting off on another journey; the RBC Ride for the Kids. We will join a group from Royal Bank of Canada, raising money for the charity, SportsAid.
The event will be a highlight of this year's SportsAid Week, the charity's big campaign week, and all miles covered will contribute to the charity's #MyMilesChallenge.
SportsAid provide financial support, recognition and personal development opportunities to the next generation of British athletes during the early stages of their career. All of the money raised from this event will go towards funding a series of athlete and parent workshops for SportsAid athletes. These workshops will support athletes with media training, nutrition advice and mentoring to ensure that they can be the best athlete they can be. Since 2014, RBC has supported 50 up-and-coming, young athletes each year with a SportsAid award. As I'm sure you know, ALL charities need our help more than ever at this time, and we want to do our tiny little bit to try and support them. We know times are tough but we would be hugely grateful for any donation to help us reach our target of £600, small or large, would be hugely appreciated.
Thank you for your support!
