Message from Adrian Blakey

I am Running this year with my brother Dave and sister Kate Jackson. This will be our first event running together and Kate's first half marathon. We're really looking forward to enjoying the atmosphere and challenge of the day and experiencing the event together.

Dave has been a runner for many years and has run marathons in London, Dublin and Halstead. Kate showed how determined she can be completing an amazing Channel swim last year,  She set herself a new target of running a half marathon this year. This will be my 6th half marathon, and I'm looking forward to returning to an event I really enjoyed last year.

Our one training run together was ably assisted by Dave's dog Jerry, Hopefully there will be time for some more before the big day, but mostly we are training separately

We're raising money for the Berkshire County Blind Society, a charity that has continued to offer huge support and fun for my daughter Rebecca who is visually impaired. The activities with BCBS have really helped her to grow in confidence this year, and we'd love to help BCBS to offer the same opportunities to other children.
