Story

On the 9th July 2019, just a week after celebrating my Dad’s (Graham Jones) 50th Birthday he suddenly passed away in his sleep. The normality of life had been completely changed in the space of a couple of hours. My Dad is remembered for many things but one thing everyone would tell you, as annoying as he was about it, he was a huge Manchester City fan.

After his passing in 2019 we managed to raise just over £2000 for The Justin Edinburgh Foundation and since the pandemic we haven’t be able to celebrate his life or do any fundraising. However, as the situation has improved we as a family thought this year would be perfect to put on a charity event. So, On Friday 1st July 2022, my Dad’s 53rd Birthday, myself and my little brother (Will Jones) will be walking from our home address in Northampton to the Etihad Stadium, Manchester. The journey will take around 2 days to complete, arriving a day after on Saturday 2nd July.

As a family we have decided to raise money in support of Child Bereavement UK, a charity which supports young children and adults who are going through the grieving process that myself and many of my friends and family who have lost a loved one, have gone through.

Please share this with anyone and everyone as I truly believe we can raise a lot of money in remembrance of my Dad and for Child Bereavement UK. Thank you to anyone who has made a donation no matter how big or small.
