Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My sincerest thanks to you for donating to Brain Tumour Research.  Brain tumours kill more children and adults under 40 than any other cancer, yet they receive only 1% of the national spend on cancer research.

My brother and I lost our mum to a brain tumour in 2000.  She was diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma multiforma which is the most aggressive form.  Sadly 6 weeks later she passed away.  Back then such an aggressive tumour was inoperable.  However, thanks to you and people like you funding the fantastic research they are now operable. People are now surviving them.

Let’s keep donating and supporting the fantastic work the brain tumour research teams do, and maybe one day it can be added to the list of survivable cancers.

Very many thanks.
