Mixed by legendary Rolling Stones' producer Chris Kimsey, "The Children of Ukraine" tells the story of a young mother on a train, clutching her young child,   expressing  her fear and anger at having to flee the  Russian rape of her homeland,  leaving her husband, and daughter's daddy, to "fight the oppressor. " 

Watching her being interviewed on TV moved me to write  and record  the song, and to use it  as a  flag for raising funds to help  the millions of innocent souls just like her.  

It was recorded in my home studio with local musician friends Billie Fox on vocals, and Paul Davis on drums. I am blessed to have had the generous input of a top producer, and "top bloke" as we say in UK.
