Kelly Morris is raising money for The Children's Trust
Story
Hi everyone,
We are participating in the 25 mile "Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge" to raise money in support of The Children's Trust.
In October 2020 our daughter suffered a life threatening TBI (Traumatic brain injury)
After a fall she was rushed to the Queen's Medical Centre for immediate surgery on her fractured skull and an acute subdural haematoma to relieve the pressure from her brain, the risks and after effects from her surgery were potentially life changing, but someone that day was looking over her and as time has progressed with a few minor hurdles Rivaya is looking to make a full recovery.
The children's trust was something we'd never heard of let alone ever thought as parents we would ever need to use.
With weekly calls and direct support they worked alongside the consultants that had operated on Rivaya and couldn't do anymore to support her and us as parents.
They will continue to work closely with Rivaya's Nursery and throughout her education as a precaution whilst her brain continues to grow and heal.
Without the NHS.uk our daughter wouldn't be here today, we will be forever grateful
