During lockdown I’ve been lucky enough to spend everyday with my 3 daughters, we have a happy, healthy, normal (ish) home. Lots of children in the UK don’t have the same experience and I’ve thought about that a lot in the last few months. 

I’m going to walk almost 11,000 miles of coastline around mainland Britain, surviving with minimal kit, and relying on the kindness of strangers. 

Children in Need supports so many organisations in the UK that directly helps children facing a range of disadvantages for example poverty and deprivation; children who have been the victims of abuse or neglect or disabled young people. 

Even through the global pandemic they’re continuing to provide support.
