Take on an active challenge and support homeless young people this September.

Story

Having seen our manager do daily walks to improve his mental fitness, we at the Contact Centre have decided to join him and support the work of this brilliant charity! We intend to walk 5 miles from Britannia House and back, flying the flag for Leek!

This September, were hitting the streets to support homeless young people. Join us for a 5 or 10 mile sponsored walk in Manchester on Thursday 29th September, or take on a challenge of your own. The number of young people becoming homeless continues to rise, not least because of the cost of living crisis. Right now, thousands of young people are having to make heart-breaking choices. Where to sleep tonight whether buy food or pay their bills or if they can afford to continue studying. Together, we want to raise £25,000 to give those young people a better future. That money could answer 375 calls to Centrepoints Helpline, from 16-25 year olds who are afraid and in danger of homelessness. Or it could allow their Homelessness Prevention and Relief Team to support 60 young people in Manchester to escape homelessness and begin building a more positive future.
