Cycle to every National League South football ground · 14 August 2021

Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

I am the Head Researcher of the Vanarama National League South for the Football Manager series. For the 2021/22 season I am cycling to every National League South ground from my home in Crawley to carry out football research for two main reasons:

  1. To raise awareness and money for Prostate Cancer UK. 11,000 dads, brothers, sons, uncles die every year from prostate cancer, and money raised here will go towards funding research that will stop men dying from prostate cancer.
  2. For sustainability reasons. With recent reports making the future of Earth sound like a bad day on Venus, it's probably as good a reason as any to switch from my car to my trusty bike for trips to these grounds.

I'll be vlogging along the way, so if you're interested in non-league football, cycling, or just want to see a man descend into a sweary mess en route, you can follow my trauma here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tA5jnOvDj9Q&list=PLTLBDCYyOAfYwKeIHxQs3zRNHDabVthGX
