Brain Tumour Research is the leading voice of the brain tumour community and focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. We are campaigning to increase the national investment in research to £35 million per year and funding sustainable Centres of Excellence across the UK.

Story

We have set up this fund in support of Brain Tumour Research, in memory of our beloved Dale who lost his life to Glioblastoma on 25th September 2018 at 32 years old.

Dale was diagnosed in December 2017. We knew little about brain tumours at the time. We were quickly informed that Glioblastoma was aggressive and incurable, with little-to-no hope on offer.

It was devastating to learn that research into brain tumours is still massively underfunded and little understood. We are now honouring Dale and joining the fight to raise awareness and funds to help further research, with the hope that we will see improved outcomes for patients living with this diagnosis.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under 40 than any other cancer, yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.

Dale was my beautiful husband, a loving son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle and loyal friend. He lit a fire within the music community and is known for his passion as a performer, musician, songwriter and artist. Dale took the world by storm and lived his life pedal to the floor, doing what he loved most. There are no words to explain how terribly we miss him.

Please join our fight to give hope and improve outcomes for brain tumour patients and their loved ones.

A thousand thankyous

Laura
