The First Class Walk Prostate Cancer UK

The First Class Walk is raising money for PROSTATE CANCER UK

The First Class Walk · 4 June 2020

Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

This page has been set up to accept donations for efforts of the 33 ECB First Class umpires as they attempt to walk the equivalant distance of walking from the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan to Old Trafford, Manchester and back in 3 months.

The total distance is 9,436 miles, which is almost the distance that they would, as group, cover on field whilst umpiring during a domestic cricket season. The idea for the walk came during the Covid 19 lock down, to not lose the miles that they would normally cover.

Any monies raised will go to 3 worthy charities:
Professional Cricketers Trust
Prostate Cancer
British Asian Trust

Please be generous in your support as the umpires set out either on foot, by bike, or on a rowing machine to cover what will prove to be a significant challenge and follow the highs and lows of the 33’s efforts on this page over the next couple of months!
