Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.MY STORY; shortened.  (Ame) - My daughter Lilee may Edmonds was born in 2010, shortly after her birth she was rushed into Special care baby unit to then discover she had meningitis/septicaemia which she had developed from contracting Group B Strep which is an infection. (Please view there website for any help or advice http://www.gbss.org.uk/) After a few weeks of uncertainity my angel luckily managed to pull through Happy, Healthy and Here, she suffers with a low immune system but other than that she is a perfectly healthy 4 year old and the light of our family's life.2014- GBS it is extremely rare to effect adults whom are not pregnant, however I was taken into hospital and discovered I had septicaemia which was very servere and almost fatal. I had developed septicaemia and reactive arthritis due to GBS. At the high risk of this happening repeatidly, This is something that I will have to deal with.Me and my daughter are both SURVIVORS of GBS, We are SO lucky and grateful to be here. Me and my family will ALWAYS be raising awareness, before I had Lilee, I had no idea of GBS and now it's effected our lives in so many ways. So PLEASE any donation is appreciated and every single penny counts. Group B Strep support recieve NO funding from the government and rely greatly on donations.
