Story

Hello, thank you and welcome :)

For those who don't know, I am an artist who amongst other things makes themed dreamcatchers. A couple of years ago I began The Green Ribbon Project & created a themed dreamcatcher for World Mental Health Day 2018. This raised money for the national Mind charity.

For this years World Mental Health Day 2020 I am fundraising locally for Dorset Mind by making a large, hula-hoop sized Green Ribbon themed dreamcatcher. This will be donated for display in a local charity/creative arts workshop; Art Therapy is a huge passion of mine.

Today, World Mental Health Day 10/10/2020 os here and I have finished the creation!! By dedicating:

 21hrs 25mins of Weaving

 605 Beads

🧚🏻 34 Sequins

🪀 133 meters of Embroidery Thread

👒 20.2 metres of Green Ribbon

🧩 22.7 metres of Green Velvet Strips

Thanks so much to all supporters for donating, sharing and spreading the word!! Scroll down for progress pics🤓

Mental Health effects everyone in different ways and this year has been no exception. 1 in 4 of us will experience a diagnosable mental health problem in our lifetime. Your fundraising will help us support local people. In fact, it’s highly likely that you know someone who is affected in some way.

The smaller dreamcatcher will be available as a chance to win item for anyone who donates, including those who did in 2018.

There is still time to donate and enter in for the prize draw - to take place on 1st November!

Dorset Mind is a pioneering mental health charity that educates, challenges stigma and inequality and promotes recovery from mental ill problems.
