Story

20/7/2014 update - We did it!

Money is still coming in, including cheques donated for £1177 offline (£1052 Chqs and £125 donated by the Kind people at The Bull Inn Bracebridge Heath).  With Will, Ivan and Steve's pages we have easily beaten our £10k target!  Thanks to all riders ands their supporters - it's an amazing achievement.

Welcome to 'THE GUMP' team sponsorship page.

You are probably coming here to support one of the riders taking part in 'The Gump'.  Our line up this year is as follows:

Adrian Lingard, Alan Paterson, Alex Jones, Chris Lowe, Daniel Webb, Dave Greenwood, Dave Lester, Dave Partridge, David Lloyd, Daz Thompson, Dean Chester, Glen Saxton, Ivan Boyes, John Schofield, John Morris, Lee Dixon, Marcus Thompson, Mark Davies, Mark Hunter, Martin Dainty, Phil Hodges, Richard Dobson, Rob Burton, Simon Hill, Steve Kinsley, Terry Ashmore, and Will Boyes.

Thanks from us all for visting.  Here is our story...

27 riders from Team Cystic Fibrosis will ride from sunrise to sunset on the longest day (21/6/2014).  We aim to travel as far as we can in one group.  Who knows how far we will get.  It will be our toughest annual team challenge yet and so we hope to raise a lot of money.  We leave Barnsley at 4:36am and aim to be approaching Felixstowe by sunset at 9:18pm.  Our distance achieved depends on the weather, it could cut us short, such is the sport.  We will ride in one team, and our planned route is 215 miles.  We hope we can make it by sunset.

Please note that every penny donated will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, and will be associated with The Gump and/or the Ride London event that two riders are taking part in.  All events are funded by the riders themselves.

Your donation means a lot to us and the poeple who live with Cystic Fibrosis.  The trust really do change peoples lives.  Click on the link below to learn more.
