Welcome to ‘The Kings Voice’ - a spin off from The Harbor Lights Elvis
Festival, a singing contest for anyone, to be enjoyed by anyone anywhere
in the world and most importantly, to raise money for the national heroes
who volunteer and work for the NHS during the current COVID-19 crisis.
The start for us was just what we say above, we must somehow involve
everyone, if you are the guy or girl who sings Elvis songs in the shower
or you are a top ETA then this is for you, you can sing your songs for the
world to hear and at the same time you will be helping an incredibly
worthwhile cause.
Next we wanted to involve fans and we want fans and members of the
global Elvis (and wider) community to also help if possible. That was our
starting point. Our platforms are Harbor Lights and Social Media.
To put the above elements together actually happened quite quickly,
we jotted down thoughts and simplified everything as much as we could
and came up with the concept of the E-Championships, Singers submit
videos and we broadcast the vocals which are completely anonymous
to the public and the judges. They are scored by the public and the judges
to determine who has ‘The Kings Voice’ and becomes our Champion.
Singers pay a registration fee with 50% going to the charity and 50%
towards a winners prize pot. Fans can vote by visiting our just giving page
and donating a minimum of £2, money accumulated from public votes
will feed directly to our NHS chosen charity.
For those who don’t wish to sing and/or can’t afford it or don't have
enough money to vote we want to involve you too so we are running a
contest throughout the E-Championships where you ‘guess the mystery
singers’ - whoever scores highest will win a 3577 Productions goody bag.
And there you have it, fun, simple, and hopefully successful in our quest
to help those true heroes in the NHS caring for Coronavirus Patients and
keeping us all safe.
