EDSA supports the advancement of education and relief of poverty of children and young people living in urban or rural townships as the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and crime, the abiding legacy of apartheid. We support creative and innovative projects and progression onto training/work.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

Andrew, Alex and Jack Ledigo are undertaking their own cycling challenges in June and July to raise money for EDSA - the Education for Democracy in South Africa.  I have seen first hand the wonderful work the charity does when I visited a Saturday school which they provide for black children from one of the townships.

Andrew (14) is riding in the London to Brighton which is 54 miles, Alex (12) is doing a long version of the London Bikeathon which is 36 miles and Jack (8) is cycling in the Bikeathon which is 26 miles.  These are all challenging rides for them and a lot further than they have cycled before.
