All money raised goes to support us in providing free gift packs and support to adult cancer patients in hospital.

OUR STORY

At The Lewis Foundation we source, package and hand deliver free gift packs to adult cancer patients in hospital and the community weekly items they might find difficult to buy themselves or simply cannot afford. It can be a sad, frightening and lonely experience for individuals undergoing cancer treatment. For many people in hospital and the community, our volunteers are their only regular visitors.The Lewis Foundation has grown from delivering 80 gift packs to one hospital, to delivering over 2,500 to 14 hospitals in the Midlands per month.


WHAT IS THE LEWIS FOUNDATION RAFFLE?

Our raffles are a fun way to raise money for our charity. By playing, you are supporting The Lewis Foundation and helping to fund our work.

HOW ARE PROCEEDS THE LEWIS FOUNDATION RAFFLE USED?

The money will be used to fund our work to enable us to provide our gifts and support to adult cancer patients in hospital. The funds will therefore, help cover the cost of gift packs and operational cost.

HOW DO I ENTER THE RAFFLE?

You buy a ticket via our website on our raffle page. Fill in your name, contact details and payment details on our secure online form.

You can buy your Summer Raffle tickets online until 7pm on Saturday 24th July 2021. Draw will take place at 8.30pm live via our The Lewis Foundation Facebook Page.

CAN I ENTER THE LEWIS FOUNDATION RAFFLE?

You need to be over 18 and a resident of mainland Great Britain to enter The Lewis Foundation Raffle. Unfortunately, we can’t accept entries from residents of Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Please refer to the full terms and conditions of our raffle entry.

HOW IS THE LEWIS FOUNDATION FUNDED?

Our work is funded by donations, fundraising, grants and corporate support to help make the work we do possible.

YOU MUST BE AGED 18 OR OVER TO ENTER THIS RAFFLE. IT IS A CRIMINAL OFFENCE FOR ANYONE UNDER 16 YEARS OF AGE TO PLAY.

Terms & Conditions

1. The purchase of one raffle ticket entitles the player to one chance in the relevant raffle draw. All tickets will be the same price (currently £2).

2. A ticket can only be purchased from our website.

3. This raffle is open to residents of mainland Great Britain (this excludes Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands).

4. Underage gambling is an offence. UK law states that it is an offence for raffle tickets to be sold to, by or on behalf of a person under 16 years of age. The Lewis Foundation rules however state that players must be 18 or over to enter our raffle. Therefore, if a ticket is sold to, by, or bought on behalf of a person under the age of 18 they will be exempt from the raffle and will not be awarded any prize.

5. If the terms & conditions box when entering is NOT ticked, then the money sent will be processed as a donation to The Lewis Foundation and the tickets will NOT be entered into the draw.

6. Employees of The Lewis Foundation who work on the production of the raffle, and members of their households, are ineligible to enter this raffle. Any tickets bought in the name of such The Lewis Foundation employees or members of their households will be rejected from the draw and considered as donations to The Lewis Foundation.

7. Monies raised by this raffle will support the work of The Lewis Foundation, registered charity 1166405.

8. We cannot accept payment by credit card.

9. Raffle tickets will be entered into the draw when the whole payment is received.

10. The Lewis Foundation accepts no responsibility for entries into the raffle where information is illegible, or the prize-winner cannot be identified.

11. Any ticket payments received after the draw will be considered as donations to The Lewis Foundation.

12. This raffle is regulated by the Small Society Lotteries and in certain circumstances we may be unable to provide refunds or replacements once you have purchased your entries.

13. Winning raffle tickets will be drawn randomly. The first ticket drawn will win the first prize, the second ticket drawn will win the second prize, this process will continue until all prizes have been allocated.

14. The result of the raffle draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

15. Winners will be notified by email as soon as possible after the draw date and where possible within 7 days. 

16. The Lewis Foundation does not offer winners cash alternatives, exchange or substitute of prizes they have won.

17. A list of winners will be published at www.thelewisfoundation.co.uk. Names of winners and results of the raffle will be available on request to hello@thelewisfoundation.co.uk

18. Where The Lewis Foundation is unable to contact a prize-winner so that a prize remains unclaimed for six months following The Lewis Foundation first attempt to notify the prize-winner, The Lewis Foundation may apply the prize as it sees fit, including by re-offering the prize in future raffles.

19. All winners are required to co-operate with The Lewis Foundation requirement to publish their win as and where deemed appropriate.

20. Winners may be requested to provide proof of age and adherence to this will be expected as part of the agreement to these terms and conditions.

21. The Lewis Foundation is registered with the Small Society Lotteries to operate this raffle, license number SL0406. Registered license holder is Lorraine Lewis

24. Any complaints relating to the raffle should be sent in writing to: Unit H5/A & H5/B, KG House, Kingsfield Way, Northampton, NN5 7QS giving full details of the complaint and supporting documentation.

25. In the event of an error, whether obvious or otherwise, which affects the raffle in any way, the organisers reserve the right to fairly administer the raffle as though the error had not occurred. Where the organisers deem it appropriate and/or feasible The Lewis Foundation will notify entrants of the error.

26. If you or a family member feel that you are experiencing problems with gambling, you can review our responsible gambling policy here.

27. Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in the disqualification of the entry. Organisers reserve the right to disqualify any entry at their absolute discretion.

28. We do not capture the personal information recorded on your raffle ticket stubs. This information is used by Sense to contact you if you hold a winning ticket.
