The Library Mouse Tales is raising money for BookTrust

The Library Mouse Reading Challenge · 12 January 2022

Book Trust is the UK's largest reading charity, transforming lives by getting children and families reading. With your help, we can ensure that nobody misses out on the life-changing benefits that reading can bring.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year, I would like to raise money for the BookTrust so that they can continue their work encouraging and enabling families to read! I am an 11 year old boy who likes reading and sharing children's book reviews on my blog:  thelibrarymousetales.wordpress.com

I have set myself a reading challenge - I want to read a minimum of 55 books in 2022. For every book I read this year, I will donate at least 50p to the BookTrust.

BookTrust helps over 3.4 million families to read with their children by providing books, guidance and resources. Children who read for enjoyment every day have a broader vocabulary, increased general knowledge, a better understanding of other cultures and do better at school regardless of their social or economic background. Here are some examples of the difference your donation could make:

  • £10 provides 6 pre-school children in women's refuge centres with their own book pack..
  • £25 given by 4 people provides a package of books and resources to a struggling secondary school.
  • £50 provides 6 families from deprived communities with additional support through their children’s centre to develop a reading habit.

Can you help me achieve my target by making a small donation? Any amount could help!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
