Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.

The Lockdown Challenges are a group of friends with a passion for motivating people and raising money for good causes.

One of our members wanted to organise a sponsored walk across London, check pointing various famous sporting grounds and stadiums to help raise money for a personal friend. The walk will be a total of 40 miles and will be covered in a single day.

To understand the history of what gave birth to this idea , please read their story in their own words::

“My husband Mark was diagnosed with MND last year at the age of 48. After being given this terminal diagnosis with no hope of a cure or any treatment we were totally heartbroken and facing a terrifying future.  This news has devastated my family but we now want to do something to help fight this dreadful disease.  We may not be the recipients of a cure whilst Mark is fighting this disease but we want to raise as much money as we can to fund the research that we hope one day will lead to a life without Motor Neurone Disease.  This fight is for all sufferers, every one of you, every lost voice, every lost loved one and every family member and friend affected by this horrific disease“

So join us on July 31st and walk the route, or please donate what you can to help Mark and all the other sufferers of this terminal disease.

Those wishing to participate in the walk are asked to donate a £20.00 sum to register for the event. This donation will also allow us to provide you with an event T-shirt.

Thanking you all in advance
