Story

Run Rescheduled to Friday 24th September**

In the past few years suicide rates in men have been increasing at an alarming rate. Even before the pandemic, in Scotland the rates of male suicide have increased at rates of 15% and 16% per year. With the subsequent negative effects caused by the repeated lockdowns, Scotland and the rest of the UK's mental health could be said to be at an all time low in our lifetime.

In conjunction with The Naked Feedbacks latest single “Boys Can Cry” which is out on September 24th, they wanted to get involved with a charity who's mission aligns with the tracks message. In an effort to raise awareness and money the band have decided to host a run but with a twist.

A few years ago the band we in Glasgow city centre on a night out and waiting for a taxi: the taxi took so long that Dean and Derek thought that they should just run home instead and even thought they could do it within 2 hours after drinking. This idea was dismissed by Callum and Jack who said it could not be done in that time after drinking so they all decided to just wait for a taxi.

They have always joked about trying to run home from Glasgow to Blantyre (approx 10 miles) after drinking but never gave it a try - until now. Dean and Derek aim to go into town for an afternoon of drinks and they attempt to run home from The Cathouse, Glasgow to their home in Blantyre within the 2 hour mark.
