The Great King's Home Run

The Great King's Home Run · 13 October 2017
The Great King's Home Run is being carried out in Memory of His Majesty the Late 9th King of Thailand, Bhumipol Adulyadej.
In doing this run, I have decided to serve 2 charities:
The Royal Marines Charity and Siriraj Government Hospital in Bangkok
I served as Royal Marines Commando for 15 years. I left the Corps 5 years ago with no regrets but I miss it and every man I served with immensely.
I was fortunate enough to leave the Corps and transition well into civilian life but recently I was told I was suffering from stress and anxiety. I shrugged this diagnosis and addressed my mental state alone and luckily enough was successful. Although, before the diagnosis, I was suffering some debilitating physical side effects of this such as panic attacks, dizziness, nausea and heart palpitations.
Some Marines are not as fortunate. Whether it be PTSI, injuries sustained from service or other personal/family issues, some Commandos need a helping hand sometimes and the RM Charity is there to provide this.
What better thing to do than to return help and support to the ones who dedicate their lives to helping and supporting not only the British people, but people all over the world.
