One handed glove challenge · 25 March 2022

This month is a huge opportunity to raise awareness of upper limb difference nationally & to share insights into living life with a difference, Reach is asking you to take part in some thoughtful activities and raise vital funds at the same time.

Story

Growing up with an upper limb difference can be challenging and lonely. I’m 45 and I’ve never met anyone who is the same as me. About 20 years ago I saw someone with an upper limb difference in a bar. But that’s the only time, once in my life. It’s not surprising that I’ve struggled to feel like I fit in, or that I’m accepted.

REACH provides support to children and their families, to help them navigate many of the challenges but also to connect people with upper limb differences. Something I think would have really helped me to feel less alone and different.
