To celebrate our 10th birthday we made a pledge to raise £10,000 for Leicester Charity Link by the 30 September 2012.  Well, we didn't quite make it but we did get 81% of the way!  A promise is, however, a promise and we talked to Leciester Charity Link and they gave us an extension.  So, we will raise £10,000 by 2nd April 2013 which is the end of their financial year.  On your marks ... go!

Each year Leicester Charity Link helps over 5,000 local vulnerable people and children who are experiencing poverty by providing everyday items that the majority of us take for granted. A bed to sleep in, a cooker on which to prepare hot meals and — in emergencies — food. These items may not cost much, but they make a massive difference to people’s lives. For every £10 that’s donated Leicester Charity Link can raise £50 from charitable trusts that are available to help and all of that £50 goes to those in need.

So, when we raise £10,000 for them this year, they will raise £50,000. That’s a lot of help for people who really do need it.
