I am running the London Marathon in April of 2024 to raise money for Spinal Research! Almost a million people worldwide sustain a spinal cord injury (SCI) each year. Living with an SCI often means a lifetime of costs, and people need to manage many secondary healthcare complications. Some of my research has focused on decreasing the effects of these complications. Spinal Research is the UK's leading medical charity focused on the repair and restoration of the spinal cord, and exists to beat paralysis. The work of this UK based charity contributes to the worldwide need for more research. Spinal Research does not receive governmental funding; all projects are funded by donations.
