Salamun alaikum
Thank you for visiting our page.
We will inshAllah be performing the c80km Najaf to Karbala walk this December 2013.
Why?
We want to sponsor x6 ophans for the year and it costs £300 for each orphan so our target is £1,800 between us inshAllah.
Its a walk of c80km across war-torn Iraq for three days (from Najaf to Karbala) between the scorching dessert sun and the evenings blistering cold takes over and temperatures rapidly plummet and plan to rest in makeshift tents pm route, by any means necessary, to make it to Karbala inshAllah.
Zahra Trust charity are performing some excellent work and we plan to fundraise to assist in any way possible to support such initiatives inshAllah. More details can be found on www.zahratrust.com/projects.
Please sponsor each of us-
20p a km so in total £16
or 30p a km so in total £24
or 40p a km so in total £32
or any amount you can to help us reach our target inshAllah.
"Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity. It is an act of justice. It is the protection of a fundamental human right, the right to dignity and a decent life." - Nelson Mandela
“Who is he that will lend to Allah a goodly loan so that He may multiply it to him many times? And it is Allah that decreases or increases (your provisions), and unto Him you shall return.” [Surah al-Baqarah: 245]
SubhanAllah, spending in the Allah’s swt way whether for Ziyarat, for the poor and needy etc is called “a beautiful loan”.
May we invest in the best transactions always.
Please forgive us for any wrongdoings and please keep us in your duas as you are in ours.
After listening to lectures, duas and latmiya (like http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=xYisxddDKF8) we all want to go to the holy land of Karbala.
We pray you have the opportunity to go for Ziyarat too inshAllah soon
JazakAllah
Sakina, Asiya and Muhammad Yusuf Khaki
