We provide conductive education in Brighton to help children with physical disabilities

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Nick Rivett Sport + The Run Squad Just Giving page in support of local children's charity Whoopsadaisy.

Whoopsadaisy aims to develop the independence, confidence and self-esteem of children with physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy. We are the only charity in East Sussex offering Conductive Education - a system of learning which, building upon children’s existing abilities and skills, helps prepare them for tackling the challenges of everyday life more independently.

We believe in fate and whoopsadaisy struck the heart strings of myself and my husband Nick and we just had to turn our attention to HELP this marvellous, small, local charity that does such good for those children and families less fortunate than our own.

During 2015, 2016, 2017 and beyond The Run Squad have run many many races and had several memorable parties to keep supporting children who are less able to move than ourselves.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read our story.

Whoopsadaisy helps children with physical disabilities live life as independently as possible. Using the Hungarian method of Conductive Education we focus on what the children can do in group sessions which the children's parents and carers also attend. .At Whoopsadaisy every step counts.
